The Underclass poll was very wrong
Political view from the Underclass
January 7, 2011
The Underclass Mid- term poll published October 12, 2010 was so wrong in the predictions of a Democratic landslide victory. I’m so glad the predictions were wrong. If the Democrats had won as predicted the Right Wing rhetoric (Sharon Angle’s second amendment remedy), and disinformation would have cause much more division and confusion among the American people. There is a blessing wrapped up in the burden of the Democrat’s defeat in the House. The Republicans didn’t win the house in the midterm elections, the Republicans say the people gave them the House because they want them to repeal Obama Care and stop financial reform of Wall Street. They claim the people’s biggest concern is to make sure insurance companies, bankers and financial speculators are allowed the freedom to make money without Government oversight. The American People rejected the Republican’s claim of finally “Getting It” after not Getting It the last decade. The people found another platform to stand on other than the Republican platform. Conservatives, Liberals and other diverse people embraced the Tea Party and the Republicans reluctantly embraced the Tea Party as a wing of the G.O.P. The Democrats has had to work with Blue Dogs and Yellow Dogs during this administration. The Republican’s Steps has been unlocked and they have their Red Dogs in the house. I believe that is good for the American people and progress is possible without Democratic control of both Houses.
The American people shouldn’t hear again from the Republican Party between now and the election of 2012 that their ideas are being discounted. The Republicans have a majority in the house and a majority of governors. The ideas coming from the white house and the state houses will be Republican and Right Winged. When the tens of thousands of state workers in states across the nation are the first casualty of Fiscal Conservatism based on Republican Ideas, the people will began to understand what happened in the 2010 mid-term election. Health Care, Education, and State jobs will be taken from the people to cut state budgets. The same cuts will be made on the federal level. The Republican leaders in the White House must first come up with some ideas that make sense. It seems that they were surprise they won the House. They don’t seem to know what to do or say, so they read the Constitution out loud on the floor of congress. That was historic. Their next great idea is to vote without discussion to appeal health care like they said they would in their new promise to their people. The Republican majority speaker said nothing is off the table, not even the defense budget. I wonder where the cuts will start. Will the cuts began with health care funding? Only time will tell. It is so much easier to complain than it is to explain. Obstruction isn’t as hard as construction.
The President needs help from his party leaders. He don’t need whisperers, he needs loud and aggressive promotion of the Democratic Party and its policies and achievements. The Republicans claim achievements they never made. They claim achievements of dead Presidents and a living Constitution. The Democrats must loudly point out the Republican deceptions every time they attempt to deceive the people. For instance, If a Democratic leader couldn’t control his or her emotion and loudly and aggressive shouted HELL NO to a Republican idea, he or she would be exposed to the American people as a weeper. They play to win, not nicely, but by any means. Democrats don’t seem to learn from their mistakes. They should keep their eyes on the ball for the next two years.
