The Tea Party and the Southern Strategy
The Party of Lincoln which was the Republican Party was infiltrated by the party of the KKK (Democrat) to assure Reagan would be elected President. President Reagan campaigned in the Deep South (Mississippi), and promised to attack and end Busing, Affirmative Action, Minority Set Asides, Unions, Corporate and Business Regulations, etc. The Dixiecrats began to switch to the Republican Party and the Minorities and Liberals embraced the Democrats. The Class and Racial divisions was the appeal of the Southern Strategy for Dixiecrats and Conservatives.
The reasons for the Southern Strategy was no secret and the objectives and goals were openly discuss. The objectives and goals of the Tea Party today is no secret. The Southern Strategy divided Americans, but united the North and South on the slavery solution for the first time since the Civil War.
The Tea Party Movement consists of similar goals and objectives as did the Southern Strategy, except the Tea Party claims to be Post-Racial. They are against all Liberals and liberal lovers regardless of race or gender. They have entered the Republican Party with one strategy, just say no to anything that will make Obama look Presidential and have a second term. That is not a strategy for governing and requires no understanding or intellect to govern. The Tea Party’s Strategy is think tank smart. (My hub on historical thoughts about President Obama), will shine a light on where I’m coming from with this thought process. I think the people who conceptualized the Tea Party and getting the presidency back in Conservative hands in four years have a positioning strategy. I think the plan called for an all out attack on Washington politician’s period, Democrats and Republicans. With the help of a few hundred thousand scared social security and medicare recipient s trying to keep the government and president’s hands off their so called entitlements, the Tea party became the third party. In the 2010 mid-term elections the third party established a beachhead in the senate and captured the house. Now since these Tea party members pledged to do nothing they can’t be blamed for doing anything, thus they will more than likely be reelected in 2012 so they can have a chance to serve, when told how to serve. The teaparty will more than likely add to their numbers with so many democrats calling it quits. If Obama wins the Presidency and the conservatives take the house, senate, along with the Supreme Court, the positioning strategy will win all but the Presidency. At that point the American people will have lost their country.
