Power to the People; Woe to the Republicans

Power to the People; Woe to the Republicans

The voting is over and the President was reelected. The Republican Party was “All In” in the race for the White House, literally and figuratively. The Tea party drove the Grand Old Party into a 12 year ditch. Romney went too far right to appeal to any minority segment in the country, which was a fatal mistake that will cost the GOP for years to come. I believe a few million Republicans voted for President Obama because they knew “it wasn’t about Obama, but about their momma’s”, well stated by Al Sharpton. The People went to the polls and stopped all the polling.

The Republicans had better “take back” their party from Grover Norquist and the Tea party conservatives. Because of the directions and positions of the GOP the President won by a landslide which means the American people want him to go “Forward”. The Speaker of the House said the President’s victory means, the people mandate that the President should become more bi-partisan. Then he said no new taxes. He may have taken such a stand because there are no new marching orders from the “Real” Speaker of the House. The Republicans have always said they know what the people want, but obviously they didn’t really know the American people.

The Tea Party Congress that was organized during the 2010 midterm elections is all the Republicans have until the 2014 midterm elections. At that midterm election the tea party could be replaced by Democrats. The President will try to get a lot done in the next four years. The people will be watching to see if the obstruction of the president continues. Obstruction will not be allowed for another four years. If Republicans don’t want to be powerless the real Republicans must stand up now if they want to have a chance to take back the White in the 2024 elections. The people they claim to speak for are paying attention now.

The President will do better this time because the twelve million jobs Romney claimed he will create was already set to happen by the President. Romney knew this and hoped to take credit for the creation of twelve million new jobs after claiming the President failed to create jobs his first four years. The President has four more years, but I don’t think the Republicans can win the White house in 2016. The 2016 election is Hillary Clinton’s for the asking and she would be the First Woman President of the United States. President Bill Clinton’s intention is and was to set the stage for his wife. If she wants to make history by being the first woman President she will no doubt win. If the Republicans keep lining up against the people they claim to understand like they understand the Constitution, they will also lose the 2024 race. The President will be successful because he will work for the people who elected him, the middle, low and underclass people of America. During the next decade and more, the GOP should be about taking back and rebranding their party. “Power to the People”.
