Democratic Party viewed by the Underclass

When I saw the struggle inside the Democratic Party to promote the democrat’s agenda I didn’t understand, but I think I understand now. The tea party supports the conservative agenda of the Republican Party, there are no liberal republican votes supporting liberal causes. There are too many (blue dogs and yellow dogs), conservatives in the Democratic Party. The conservative agenda is promoted inside the Democratic Party. The liberal agenda is often compromised by the internal conflicts. The republican policy concerning liberal republicans is to watch the vote. If it’s conservative it doesn’t matter if you are republican or democrat. If the vote is for a liberal cause the tea party or Republican Party will disregard and dismiss the law maker.
It seems the Democratic Party is very afraid of the word liberal. Somehow In the last decade the Republican Party has defined the democrat’s core value as un-American and a waste of time and money. The strange thing about that is democrats have drunk the cool-aid. I understand to be liberal, you must care about and for the majority of Americans who aren’t in that 2% liberal policies will tax. There are many positive things liberals do and have done for the upper class, middle class, low class, and the underclass which is the majority class these days. The republican’s core values include tax breaks for the rich, big business, and Wall Street. Conservatives want to end social entitlements and continue corporate entitlements.
The American people whether they know it or not should embrace liberalism for their own sake. Conservatism is not in the majority’s interest. Democrats should proudly proclaim the value of their brand. You are either for the people or against the people. The democrats should deal with the dogs, blue, and yellow. Republicans don’t allow dogs in their party. The Democratic Party is inclusive to a fault; the republicans are exclusive to a fault. Independents are fragmented and powerless but very important to both parties this election. The Democratic Party should stand tall and not fall over itself.

keep middle class taxes low later, the health care bill, consumer protection,reverse recession, and stuff like that.
No way do they keep taxes lower! Come on.
OpinionDuck, can you name one, just one positive thing Conservatives do for the middle class. If you can, I will name you a million that progressives do apart from the few junko mentioned. Meanwhile, great hub junko!

There is going to be a big tax increase after the election. They like FDR can only muck with and make recessions into depressions and worse.
It is Congress in general, but FDR and Obama congresses muck it up the best. 21 months into Obama land and the country is going further into higher unemployment.
The only increase in employment is the federal workforce.

You have it right and don't let any of these fools dissuade you! They are the product of all the conservative bullshit flying around on the airways. I will take the health care bill any day as a good example of something done for middle class Americans.

sorry but have to disagree,the problem is the two party system,and heather one in control,we need someone in that will take out the ones that are pulling the strings ,the two major party's , no longer care what we think and want to do away with what freedoms we have left
less face it both party's had some good ideas in the past, but now thy just read the script ,thy pit on side agents the other ,if we don`t change things fast there will be two classes the poor and rich ,and who will have the say then ,

Al, No doubt we only have a two party system and it's sometimes hard know a republican from a democrat, but stop, look, and listen. Check out how conservatives vote, their stated agenda and actions. Now check out the democrat's votes, agenda, and actions. You and I must choose a party before we can get someone in to take out the ones pulling strings. It is what it is, not what we wish it could be. You and I have a choice, right or left? I choose left.
junko, the GOP and Tea Party have done nothing to benefit the middle class. Even though Obama has increased the debt, he has done so to try to help the middle class find jobs. The only thing the TP/GOP have increased the debt for is to give tax breaks to the rich and mega corporations. Our rights are being taken away daily because of the Tea Partiers. The biggest right they are taking away from the middle class is financial freedom.

The problem today is that we live in a "sound bite" world. Not everyone tries to understand the big picture like you have in the hub. There is a need for an independent citizens party. One that supports the best ideas for America.
GNelson, Thanks for stopping by and following me. The citizens do need a way to express their desires,and stop the right and left extremes from lieing about what the people want. At this point all we have is the vote, and now and in 2012 the people will be united in expressing what they don't want.
junko, liberal politicians, conservative politicians, straddle-the-fence politicians, Democrat politicians, Republican politicians, Tea Party politicians -- what difference does it make? They are all politicians, meaning that the lot of them are nothing but bodies for sale.
It is time we, the people, regain control of our country and its affairs.
